Project Type : Installation
Completed : October 2019
“One in twenty Malaysian women are at risk of breast cancer. The earlier it’s detected, the better the chances there are to fight it.”
This installation was commissioned by Harpers Bazaar Malaysia in collaboration with Malaysian fashion designer, Khoon Hooi as part of the Bazaar Pink Project pop-up store. The idea behind the installation stems from the notion of growth and nurture. Accompanying the bespoke Alpha and Omega dresses is an array of glass vitrines, each housing a water plant seed. Using UV lighting, the seeds are encouraged to germinate and grow throughout the two-week period of the installation. This creates an ever-changing illuminated landscape imagery, akin to the installation’s namesake.
